Is it possible

Is it possible to add insulation

Yes, but it is very costly. We recommend
that you order the door with insulation
from the factory to avoid excess spending.

Does the thickness (gauge)
of the door vary from manufacturer to
manufacturer? (ie, is a 24
gauge from one company the same as a
24 gauge from another?)
No. All manufacturers abide by a strict
set of government guidelines that ensures
the doors are the same thickness, no
matter where you get it from.

Does insulation vary? Are
there different types of insulation?
Every company uses different materials
for their insulation. Some use cardboard
or other cheap, inefficient material.
We only use doors that utilize the awesome
temperature retaining and heat regulating
power of Styrofoam.

Can we use our existing garage
door opener after the new door has been
installed?
The existing opener must be checked
to make sure that the rail is at least
7 1/2 feet, minimum.

Door will not close completely;
opener will not shut door.
Solution(s): The lasers on the opener are not aligned
properly or there is something obstructing the lasers.
Check to make sure there is nothing in the way.

Door comes down completely, but reverses
and opens back up and will not stay shut.
Solution(s): Gain button on the side of the opener
needs to be adjusted, or there is something in the
way of the door. Check to make sure nothing is blocking
the door from closing.

Remote control does not work.
Solution(s): If remote is older than two years,
check batteries first. If batteries are fine, check
wall console to see if "lock" button is
activated. If remote still does not work, it may
need to be reprogrammed.

Squeaky wheels.
Solution(s): All manufacturers recommend that rollers
on the tracks be well lubricated, and that new lubricant
is added every six months.

The door has come off of the track.
Solution(s): The door must be reset, realigned and
retorqued by a professional only.

Door opener seems to move too slow/ when
opening manually, door seems very heavy.
Solution(s): Spring may have broken. Replacement
spring may be needed. Call a professional for diagnosis.
